Nice trail for hiking if it’s not too hot but not very good spots for backpacking because of lack of trees and water sources. Almost all of the trees are dead until about 7 miles up and not many good spots to camp. Moose are common on this trail. The trail also has some incline and decline but pretty well maintained trails.

Camped at Summerland group site via this trailhead and had a great experience. Moose wandering the marsh and eating outside our tent in the morning made for a great time. Lovely and easy walk/hike on wide trail past horse pastures. There is a hunting shed (?) with hanging ropes right by the site, but to the best of our knowledge it is neither haunted nor malicious. Also, while our ranger excelled in every other way, they did describe this area as "meadow" when it is far more a marsh or, one might say, mosquito breeding ground. Enjoy accordingly.

Never any parking, but when there is, it's s super nice hike to the falls.

The hike started off green, and we even spotted a moose. Later, all the trees had been burned by the fire two and a half years prior. As a result, there was no shade, and the landscape looked desolate. We turned back after 3 km.
