My husband and I wanted to do a getaway for our three year-old daughter‘s birthday. We enjoyed the room It was very clean. The location was awesome. So close to town you could walk. The room was private and spacious. We will definitely be back. My daughter loved it as well, It was like another home to her and had so much fun.

It's okay. They're trying their best, but there are just a few things missing to make it really nice. Yes, it's clean—inside. But outside, there are those old vehicles from the laundry next door. Not pretty. The old, broken outdoor chairs don't look inviting. The laundry next door makes noise all night (!!) long. Peace and quiet? Forget it. Too bad.

I am not one who typically writes bad reviews, and certainly not bougie by any means, but feel others should be able to make an informed decision before booking. Upon arrival, our first impression was that the advertised pictures were not current. It has aged. On our way to our room we noticed a toilet plunger and large rusty can(as shown in picture) and trash next to the sidewalk. Both remained there for our entire 3 night stay. We were in Lodge 7. The outdoor seating area consisted of very old and rickety, hodge podge furniture that you don’t dare sit on(see pics). Also, the other option was a vintage metal table and chairs that was so filthy, rusty and peeling that you didn’t want to sit on it either. This was a huge disappointment since we enjoy sitting outside during our down time. The inside was nice however the sofa was well worn that you sank in the sofa making it hard to get up. There is no curtain/shade on the kitchen window which really makes you feel exposed and without privacy. Also, the smoke detector was missing in the bedroom(see pic). The kitchen was really nice but the only dish towel provided was so stained that we weren’t sure if it was actually clean or not. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower provided good water pressure. The location is great. Walking distance to everything in town. Communication was good, providing detailed information for arrival. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response to my recommendation for a shade in the kitchen. All in all, we had a great time in Grand Lake.

We stayed in Cabin 6 at The Loose Moose Lodge in Grand Lake. If I could rate it 0 stars I would. The unit was extremely dated with old furniture, lighting, appliances and bathroom but that was not the worst part. The unit was filthy and so unappealing to stay in that we never felt comfortable. There were articles of clothing left from previous guests behind the bedside table. There was an old paint can outside the front door filled with cigarette butts and empty beer cans creating an unsightly appearance and unpleasant stale cigarette butt stench. There was a pool of sticky, jam-like substance on the floor near one of the windows that I did not see before I stepped my bare foot in it. The couch was so dated and stained that it was unappealing to sit on and the armchair in the unit was worn out and faded and torn and covered in a dust of some sort. Honestly, it was so bad that we left after one night. There was no way we could have slept there one more night. The only redeeming quality about the lodge was it's location near town. I don't know how others have given this place better ratings. It makes me question the validity of those reviews. We complained to the management and asked for the remaining nights of our stay be refunded and so far that has not happened.

Such a great place to stay in Grand Lake! Clean, cozy, and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful with anything you may need during your stay. Can’t wait to stay again!
