This is the second time I’ve eaten at One Love Rum. The first time was during a few months after they opened, and it was good. The food was amazing, and I sensed they had something worthwhile. Most restaurants don’t make it here in Grand Lake. The people of One Love Rum have gone out of their way to become community members by investing in the events, people, and putting their money into their business. This time, my visit was so much grander. They have tables along the outside perimeter of the restaurant now, picnic tables with benches out front, and bar windows with seats. They’ve renovated the inside, too, with an amazing bar. The food— next level! I definitely recommend the barrio tacos - so much flavor, a hefty amount of food (my husband and I shared one order). Bravo, One Love Rum - here’s to your continued success!

Me and my husband came to Grand lake for a weekend away. Not many restaurants were open but a local told us to check out one love and it did not disappoint. We ordered the octopus tacos they were really good not super chewy but had great flavor. We got the pork belly tacos which was my favorite good flavor and nice cook on the pork belly. The Jerk chicken tacos was my husband favorite amazing flavor, chicken was juicy reminded us of Jamaica. The fired mahi-mahi tacos were sad compared to the other three kinds. The sweet potato fries were amazing. The regular fries had a nice seasoning on top. The rice and beans was really good. Drinks were good. You can tell the cooks and staff loves there job. Jewel was are waitress. She was super sweet and on top of things.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to eat here. When we arrived, the hostess asked how we were doing. We explained that we had a large group, and she responded, “That’s not what I asked. I asked how you were doing.” We were then told we couldn’t sit inside because our group would take up all of their tables. There were 13 of us, and we all planned to order food, so we were surprised by that response, especially since we were the only customers there right when they opened. When we suggested pushing a few tables together, the hostess told us she was “very good at her job.” At that point, we decided to leave and went to Taco Bout It down the street instead. The staff there were much friendlier, and the food was great.

My husband and I stayed in Grand Lake for 3 days during our honeymoon. We read about One Love kitchen on google, and decided to try it out. We got there at happy hour, and our server was obviously very busy (we understand). He was extremely personable, and he offered us free dessert and shots once he heard we had just been married. The food was super fresh, and the flavors were very creative. We got the poke bowl, curry fries and curry potato salad. I got a house margarita, and having a fruity drink to go with the breezy patio really sold me on the whole atmosphere of the restaurant. We were full by the end of the meal, and would return!

Went here on a Friday afternoon; waitress seating us was rude and unwelcoming--she acted like this restaurant has enough patrons and we were a bother. Food was solid but nothing to write home about. To further add to the weird staff vibes, our waiter refused to give us a to-go cup for the $18 beverage we took one sip of, saying he might get in trouble. There was no apology that this meant we had to leave the entire beverage at the table. What a waste. Atmosphere is lively and colorful. Everything else, not so. There are a lot of food choices on this street; don't get sold on this one.
