Unbeatable Location! Very near the main entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. From the property you get an outstanding, view of the surrounding mountains. Convenient helpful keyless PIN door entry was great. The property management and staff are warm, accommodating, and eager to help with local recommendations .The pool was good too. The inn is a retrofitted older properly. The layout features a very small parking lot. Rooms are limited in adequate surface space, shelving, and convenient electrical outlets near the nightstands for device charging. It is clean, has a great location, but do not expect modern perfection.

If I could give 6 stars for location, I would. You cannot get closer to RMNP. One right turn, 3 miles and you’re there! Other than the great location, the motel was neat and clean. The owners couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. You have a lovely view of the mountains right out your front door. The pool area is nice for relaxing after long hikes in the mountains. A very short walk and your at a lovely little grocery with all you need for your trips into the park. There is a laundry mat in that store also which is convenient. If your coming to spend a lot of time in the park, I cannot recommend the Trail Ridge Inn more. I hope to be able to come back!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. Before arriving, I received a message offering early check-in for an additional $25. Since I was traveling with my 4-year-old son and expected to arrive before the standard check-in time, I thought this would be a helpful option. However, when we arrived and asked about checking in early, we were told that early check-in was not available because the rooms were full and that we would need to return at 3:30 p.m. The interaction felt dismissive, and it was frustrating to receive information that directly contradicted what had been communicated beforehand. The room itself was also disappointing. The property advertises newly renovated rooms, but our room did not feel newly renovated. The furnishings and overall condition seemed dated, and the bathroom was extremely small. The walls were also very thin, making it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of accommodations and customer service. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the property's marketing or rates. While Estes Park is a beautiful destination, I would likely choose a different place to stay on a future visit.

Location is everything here! We were right outside of RMNP and the views were amazing. You can't get much closer. This is the main reason I kept this review at 4 stars, otherwise it would have been a 3. Check in here was a little strange. You use a kiosk. But then someone is there to also help? The whole process felt a little cold and non interactive (especially coming from really great customer service in Manitou Springs). There's no keycards to use on the locks. They give you a small paper receipt that has your door code on it. This was something new to us and having to do this every time was a little annoying. Our kids were old enough to understand not to press the one button, otherwise it resets your code and you would have to go to the office. Parking where we were located was very tight. When pulled in to our spot, the front of our vehicle was right up against another room's door. The pool was underwhelming for my kids. It was right next to their garbage dumpsters which in July you could smell. It also sits under a tree a bit, so there were a lot of bugs constantly in the pool. The guy cleaning the pool was very nice though! The rooms are a little small. We had a 2 queen balcony room. Compared to the last motel this was pretty cramped for our family of 4. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked nicely. The shower was amazing. Probably one of the best I've ever been in. Water was consistently hot and the water pressure was great. There's a nice sized window you can open too, but then people can see right into the shower. We were lucky to have elk wander by right outside our room. There was a large group (so many little babies too!!) in the field across the street multiple times during our stay. So that was very cool!! If you're looking for a place close to the park entrance- this is it!

This is a great value for the location and facilities. This Inn is right down the street from an entrance to the Rocky Mountains national park, and is just so convenient! even with the proximity to the park, the rates seem to stay fairly reasonable. The inn is a little bit motel-style/ motor lodge (all 1st floor rooms). Room was clean, mini fridge in room, shower pressure and temperature were good. The host was really flexible with a day of booking for a late check in, and it was greatly appreciated! Check in and out was also really easy by text.
