This place is definitely on the pricier side, but the food, service, and views made it worth the visit! The view is absolutely unreal, and the food came out surprisingly fast. You could tell everything was made fresh with quality ingredients. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. If you come here, you HAVE to order the pheasant soup. It was hands down the best thing I ate during my entire Colorado trip. My only complaint was that I wish it was a larger portion! So good! A couple of things to note: adding protein to a meal is expensive. It was $15 to add tuna to the gnocchi and $8 to add chicken, which felt pretty excessive. I’d also skip the mashed potatoes as a side. They were $10 (large portion to be fair) and honestly had almost no flavor. One small touch I loved was that they gave us a free postcard with the restaurant’s name on it. Such a cute little souvenir. Overall, if you’re okay spending a little more, this is absolutely worth visiting for the incredible views and fresh, high-quality food.

Such a great restaurant! Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. The Trout Filet and New York Strip were great as well as the Focaccia. I love their idea with the post cards, such a cool thing to do. Note: Parking can be tight, but there's street parking available nearby.

One of the few places that you can order an elk steak, the price tag for it is initially a little expensive but I took home half the meal and basically got a second meal out of it which balanced out the price. I went with two other people and my meal the carnivore was the most expensive at $60 but their other prices are a lot less expensive. One of us had dessert and the sorbet was said to be good, berries looked so fresh too. Food was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend. They were very busy when we arrived but I asked if they could fit us in and they made exceptional accommodations for us allowing us to sit at the bar. Staff were very friendly and talkative. They even played some indi rock music which was a little niche but I absolutely loved it. At the end of the meal they gave us this postcard that you could fill out and they would stamp it and have it sent wherever you wanted it to go. What a lovely surprise! They have a Dropbox by the front door for the cards.

A welcoming atmosphere paired with delicious local cuisine. Our lunch was presented by Elizabeth, with a well versed knowledge of the menu and an unmatched level of pure kindness. We were able to be seated immediately for our late lunch. However, reservations may be smart for an evening meal. Highly recommended for anyone enjoying all that Estes Park has to offer!

Reservation got us in right away. Fortunately we were able to get a patio seat despite that request in the reservation not coming through on their end. We sat next to a speaker which seemed a little loud but I suspect that was to cover up the road sounds. I’d rather hear music (rock was playing) than the road so it was fine. We ordered the spreads for starters. Phenomenal. The trout dip was our favorite. For entrees, we had the carnivore, the trout, and a kid had Mac and cheese, waffle fries, carrots. The carnivore was exceptional. I tend to be disappointed ordering steak or game game, being a producer and hunter, but this entire meal was great. The trout was also great, and the local nature of all the ingredients was very apparent. From the carrots and trout to the beef, the quality of ingredients was apparent and appreciated. A manager (maybe?) visited us after our meal and we discussed the advantages of small towns, quality ingredients, and appreciating the small things. There towards the end of our meal I think the business inside must’ve picked up because we saw our server less and less. I don’t believe that to be his fault. I’m nitpicking because the experience was so top notch. Overall this experience was one that will bring us back. The price was very fair, less than anticipated, given ingredients, etc.
