Hidden gem, off the main highway. Great put in for kayak or SUP. Incredibly scenic, nature lovers paradise. So many birds!! Enjoy paddling around the islands. Water was even warm in July (which is very unusual for Colorado mountains).

Beware of power-hungry petty park rangers at this place… one lady in particular who called in for backups ticketed me $100 for not having a Type III life jacket (I had a “U.S. coast guard approved Type IV life jacket” on my SUP but apparently that’s not good enough for paddle boarding in 2 feet of water). They brought in 4 different park rangers to write me a ticket and lecture me about water safety. Meanwhile, the lady park ranger lets the men write the ticket while she runs around harassing people who don’t have whistles on their life jacket. CPW rangers at this place and are an absolute joke. Rolling around this small park on the 4th of July like a swat team 🤦♂️

Nice area to access the lake with non-motorized water craft. Quieter then most places and an abundance of water fowl

A must visit peaceful place every time I am near Grand Lake. Dawn and dusk bring out the wildlife.

Great spot to launch paddleboards. Brings you right to all the little islands on Lake Granby.

Riverside, rustic-chic log cabins with free Wi-Fi, kitchens & fireplaces, plus BBQ grills.

Rustic quarters, some with kitchens, in a low-key roadside hotel offering BBQs, Wi-Fi & lake views.
