So this was absolutely the best place I've camped thus far. It's beautiful. Its walking distance from the bus that will take you to any of 4 different starting places for dozens of hikes. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and the tent pads were maintained wonderfully.

I stayed in campsite A09 with two of my grandsons. There is a bear box at this site, which we shared with a couple neighboring sites. We had some shade from trees as well. Glacier Basin is an excellent place to stay when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Your campsite reservation is also a pass to access the park and (more importantly) the heavily visited Bear Lake Road. The camp is across the road from the RMNP Park & Ride; we and several others walked from the campground to the busses to avoid trying to find a parking space. We were able to easily access Bear Lake, the Alberta Falls trail head, and other locations along the Bear Lake corridor. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I was surprised to see running water and flush toilets; many other areas in the park have vault toilets and no water. The river is a short walk from the campground. Depending on the time of year, this can be a great place to cool off.

First camping trip-great place to do it! Awesome views, bathrooms & water were super convenient. Photos attached from site133. Firewood and ice available on site. Park n ride to all trailheads just across the street, you don’t need timed entry to get into the park if you camp here which is a major perk in the summer!

Fairly isolated B53 campsite. Has bear box. Could hear the family on B51 but the short trees did hide them. No one on the other side. The bathroom was a quick walk and was very clean (only sinks and flush toilets). Potable water was closer to the entrance. The little shop made getting ice and firewood very easy (took card too). Cell service was decent: 5G and LTE. Having the camp site reservation made getting in and out of Bear Lake area very easy. (No one really checks the reservation until you get to the campground). The campgeound is a quick 5 walk to the park and ride.

Great location close enough to shuttle service for Park. Sites are great. Make sure you look at length however and make sure your RV and tow vehicle will manage. Sites parallel to road may not be a great fit for your RV especially if you have a slide. Stayed in d loop 148 and was perfect for my 23 for RV with slide.
