Waking up with this kind of view every morning doesn’t get much better! This was the cleanest place we have stayed at. The friendliest staff that remembers your face and name. Kid friendly place with a heated pool and a playground that was very clean and accessible too. If you want a place to stay in Estes Park this would be my first pick every time! Within the first hour after setting up we saw some wildlife right inside the campgrounds ! Can’t wait to return next year ! Thank you for the memories :)

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for our first camping trip with our 24-foot 2022 Rockwood MiniLite 2109S. The campground is literally just across the street from Mary's Lake on the southern end of Estes Park, making it close to town but far from the downtown tourist traffic. All of the RV sites are located at the front (southern, lakeside end) of the campground, with the full hookup sites concentrated in 4 rows while the water and electric sites are located along small loops. Tent sites take up the northern section of the campground. The interior campground roads are hard-parked dirt roads with some gravel, and that is also true of the site pads. Few if any of the RV sites have any grass nearby, though there is grass on the property near the playground area. East site has a fire pit, a picnic table, and a bear box. The bear safety theme is present throughout the campground: all trash and recycling recepticles are bear-proof, and although they have dog poop bag dispensers there are no small trash cans attached to them. Our site (M106) was a back-in site with water and electric that faced south. The adjoining road was fairly wide, and we had no trouble backing in. We were able to park our 20-foot long dually truck in the front of the site at an angle. The water and electric connections were at the back of the site. Most of the amenities are located at the front of the campground: the small swimming pool, the office building with a well-stocked campstore and small laundry room, the propane refill tank, the trash and recycling dumpsters, the two-lane dump station, and a collection of cornhole sets. The aforementioned playground is located in the middle of the campground. There are two large clean bathhouses with change machines and coin-operated showers. One amenity they do not provide is WiFi, but I got 168MB down and 34MB up on my AT&T smartphone. There's also no dedicated dog walking area, but we simply walked our dogs along the hiking trail at the south end of the park and around Mary's Lake. We would gladly stay here again.

We stayed at Estes Park Campground at Mary’s Lake for 4 nights & loved every second of our visit! The location could not be beat! We were about 10 minutes from everything we wanted to do. It wasn’t in the middle of busy Estes Park, which was nice, but close enough (5 minute drive). The front desk staff were so friendly & knowledgeable; the store also had a great selection of souvenirs & camping essentials. The kids were excited to hear the pool was heated & enjoyed being able to swim after a day of hiking. The bath houses (2 on site) were both extremely clean and well maintained. The showers cost $2.00 in quarters for 6 minutes. The campground was very family friendly - a playground within eyesight of most RV spots & a cornhole area close to the front of the park. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great folks staffing the place! Loved the location near all things Estes. It was a very busy place when we were there in May, lots of families with kids riding bikes and having a great time. We’re empty nesters so this didn’t appeal to us, but if we had a young family we’d love it I’m sure. The pool is small but well kept. We were surprised at how many smaller tent sites they offer too. Great place and a great chance to see some local wildlife wandering through. We would stay here again.

Estes park campground run by parks and rec. Clean east access but not "in" the mountains camping experience. Nice little store, great site amenities-bear proof food lockers, fire ring picnic table. Clean restrooms, pay to shower both men and women. Heated pool but really small and a playground for the kids. Not many trees in the actual camp site area but close proximity to both the city of Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park
