The rooms are nice! The customer service could use a lot of improvement. Our first night there we went and had dinner and never once were we greeted, we waited forever for our food to just be brought out cold. Had to ask for refills and mind you we were sitting at the bar. Next time hopefully we find a friendlier Inn/hotel.

Staying here right now, what an amazing location. The staff is on point, the rooms are absolutely adorable, feel like I’m staying in a remote cabin nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beds were very comfortable and lots of hot water in a spacious shower. We were even invited to join in at the town Christmas party downstairs. Tracy was super accommodating, as well as Alejandro and Jason were amazing as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quaint hotel with a family feel. They are located right at the West entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Also got to see my first moose after 5 minutes into the park.

This was our first time in Grand Lake, and this location was easy to find. They have a restaurant on site and live music on weekends. The room was quite a good size,and clean with 2 queen size beds. The front desk was helpful too. Would stay here again.

We came for a relaxing get away in april, so we wouldn't be around people. Little did we know there would be very loud construction a few feet from our room for hours a day. Under our room, every few minutes there is a banging sound like maybe the pipes are being repaired. Similarly, the wooden bed frame was very loud and creaky, it woke us up by whenever we moved even slightly. Im disappointed because its a great location a charming time of year with little snow showers every few hours.

I recently stayed at the Gateway Inn after a long day of ice fishing, and it was exactly the kind of "mountain home base" I was looking for. Here’s the breakdown of my experience: The Highlights The Vibe: The lobby and bar area are fantastic. Having a few cold beers at the hotel bar right after being out on the ice all day was incredibly convenient. They even had live music, which added a great energy to the evening. The Staff: Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The Room: Our room was nicely remodeled—clean, modern, and comfortable. It definitely felt like a step up from your average mountain lodge. Dining: While we didn’t eat dinner on-site, it was nice to know there was a solid food option right there if we didn't feel like venturing back out into the cold. A Few "Mountain Quirks" Temperature: The room’s climate was a bit temperamental, cycling between warm, cold, and hot throughout the night without us touching the thermostat. It wasn't a dealbreaker, just a bit of a mystery! Parking & Ice: The parking situation is "interesting." You need to be a bit patient and creative with where you tuck your vehicle. Also, the lot was pretty icy during our stay, so definitely watch your step when unloading gear. Overall: Despite the minor heating quirks and the puzzle-piece parking, the Gateway Inn provided a great experience. It’s a perfect spot for anglers or anyone looking for a cozy, friendly atmosphere in Grand Lake. I’ll definitely be back!
