So beautiful and peaceful here!! If you love to fish, Big Thompson is the place. A lot has changed in the 30 years since I last visited. Visible recent flooding damage resulted in a better, safer road. The best drive going to Estes Park when Trail Ridge Road is closed.

Pretty cool falls with a caveat; no roadside signage to indicate where it is so you have to pay attention to the maps.

The falls itself was beautiful, maybe about an eight to ten foot drop when we were there. The river was roaring, and there must have been rain recently. But, although the waterfall was beautiful, it paled in comparison to the narrow, rugged canyon, with towering rock walls.
