On our way from the national park, we stopped at Grand Lake and this pub for a late lunch. Such a small but quaint place with all the funky decor. Kids enjoyed looking at it all. Even the tiny restrooms have so much character :). My husband enjoyed their beer offerings of Belgium quad and Ellies Brown while I loved the strawberry lemonade - SO refreshing I had the Fish and chips and it was a lot of food but very tasty. The other entrees we tried as a group, were the Meat lovers pizza and Street tacos. Everyone enjoyed their entree. My youngest had the kids pizza and was full half way through it. The owners seemed friendly and engaged in chitchat with us.

It is very rare that I write a one star review as my husband and I own multiple businesses, one being in hospitality as well. To cut to the chase, our sever forgot to put our food in let alone check on us. We went 40 minutes without anyone checking on us or our food. We took the slogan literal because we know How it can be being a small business and waiting for food. (We’re Not fast food etc etc) It wasn’t until an older woman asked us if we needed anything because I was looking around and I said yeah our food we have been waiting food. During this time our server had enough time to check her phone, gossip with the other bartender and serve other people, and watch me go to the bar and order my own drink. We saw three other tables receive their food. The other server seem to give stellar service. Our server admitted to forgetting our food and comped our first round of drinks. I understand people have bad days but the restaurant was very slow. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the fish and chips. I was offered an extra filet of fish as well. The location was great, the restaurant was clean, and had a very fun and eclectic vibe inside. Very disappointed overall. My husband and I were celebrating a special occasion.

We stopped in for lunch in June, it was awesome!! The food was great and so was the lager!!! Great conversation with the owner, one of the many incredible people we were blessed to meet on our 29 day road trip!!

My husband and I didn’t stay at the hotel, but we had an evening in their pub and it was a unique and memorable experience! Our favorite part was the look of the bar. There were stickers and signs and dollar bills everywhere. We put a dollar up!

We had drinks and an appetizer for a mid-afternoon snack. The cheese curds and marinara were well enjoyed by the 4 of us. Brews were delicious and the ambiance is unique. One dollar bills, most signed or with a message, cover most of the ceiling and walls. The bartender/owner had an attentive, pleasant demeanor and a soothing voice.
