Great stop when visiting Lake Granby area. Vibe was rustic and wild, just what you’d expect from a road house. Food was good, chili was great! The side of jalapeño slaw was the perfect bite of tangy and spicy. What put this place over the top was the friendly and efficient service. The bartender, Stephanie, was attentive but not hovering, and we also enjoyed meeting Chris, a fellow Bengals fan. They have live music on the patio on Thursday, which sounds like a good time. What more could you ask for in a Rocky Mountain Roadhouse than a rustic atmosphere and a friendly welcome? Sometimes when you wander in a local joint in a rural area you expect to get that "out to towner" sort of welcome. But, these folks felt really genuine and it was much appreciated. While I’ve been traveling to the Grand Lake area multiple times annually for 20 years, I’ve never stepped foot in the Roadhouse until today. Since I was by myself, I sat at the bar. The bartender, Stephanie, was super nice and helped me understand the selection of IPAs on tap. I already knew what I wanted to eat because if a menu has a Rueben I order it. While it is my favorite sandwich, experience tells me that it is also one of the most difficult sandwiches to nail. Corned beef is VERY hard to deliver tender. My #1 test of a great Rueben is whether I can take a bite without pulling all of the meat out of the sandwich. Unfortunately, the Roadhouse rueben failed that test today. But, there was plenty of sauerkraut (I hate it when restaurants skimp on the kraut) and the marbled pumpernickel/rye was fresh. The potato bites (aka tots) were crispy on the outside and moist on the outside; perfect! And the service was outstanding. I did not complain about the Rueben because honestly at least 1/2 of them I order are chewy. But, when Stephanie asked about it I said it was "okay". That was not good enough for her. Before I knew it Bob the owner was next to me apologizing; explaining they’re experimenting with a new recipe. So, KUDOS to the Roadhouse crew for the excellent service. I’ll be back to try a Rueben again as they asked for my feedback and they seemed to take it seriously. I should also add that I tried the Roadhouse for the first time at the recommendation of my son who said the burger was good. I’ll give that a try sometime.

Great food and service. (Nick was amazing and so energetic) Live entertainment was really good. The staff worked together to get the food out quickly. Which I appreciated. Tell them Wade Carter from Oklahoma City sent you. (8/29/24)

Just a lil gem looks like a home in the wall bar but the food was really good. Burgers & sweet potato fry’s w cinnamon sugar and a lil dip sauce & of course the ranch was good because that’s where you win our hearts. Staff were friendly & outgoing. We will be back this summer 🌅🙌🏼

Definitely not your typical bar food! Amazing trout with rice and grilled veggies and an outstanding fettuccine Alfredo! Cool vibe and super friendly staff!
